UpdatePanel in ASP.NET 4 has a bug confirmed by Microsoft. Here is the link:
http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/651085/partial-postback-updatepanel-do-not-post-new-html5-input-fields-type-number

So if you intend to use DotM.HTML5 input controls inside an UpdatePanel, you will need to register a handler in your web.config file to fix that.

Inside <httpHandlers> tag of your web.config file, write this code:

<add verb="GET,HEAD" path="ScriptResource.axd" type="DotM.Html5.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler, DotM.Html5, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=cf15bd0a8dbc673d, processorArchitecture=MSIL" validate="false" />

which will fix the problem. Don't forget to include it in your system.webServer/handlers section if you are using IIS 7 or later.
